Chess, at landscape scale
Design the 8 × 8 court around the selected piece heights, travel paths and clearances. An off-board perimeter gives captured pieces somewhere to dock without crossing occupied squares or guest routes.

A large robotic chess court for private estates. Command a side with a friend, watch the pieces play each other, or pause the game to walk among sculptural figures approximately one to three feet tall.

A solar canopy and battery-supported dock are proposed as part of the installation. Generation, storage, charging time and auxiliary supply are sized to site conditions and playing hours; continuous solar-only operation is not assumed.
Specify rain exposure, drainage, debris, temperature, sunlight and any coastal salt conditions before choosing materials and sealing. Weather limits, maintenance and storage are confirmed through testing.

V7 GARDEN COURT / PROPOSED SERIES OF 9
A private chess landscape with 32 sculptural robotic pieces. From a one-foot courtyard set to three-foot estate pieces. A setting for friends, family and the pleasure of play.

You and a friend command opposing sides through proposed handheld or tablet controls. Each move is checked before a piece travels.
Robot-versus-robot matches become a garden spectacle. Select the pace and watch from the court’s designated viewing area.
A dedicated pause mode parks the pieces before guests enter. Occupancy checks, clear routes and an accessible stop are part of the development brief.
A photovoltaic canopy, battery storage and charging docks are proposed together. Capacity follows your climate and playing hours; a backup supply may be needed. Outdoor sealing, traction, drainage and operating weather limits require site-specific validation.
Nominal piece heights, not board dimensions. Chess ranks may vary in height. Board footprint, spacing, stability and movement paths are designed around the chosen family of pieces.
One idea. Your own robot.
